Sylvester Stallone is happy to bow to Adele’s wishes when it comes to buying her home!
in an interview with The Wall Street Gazette published on Monday Cliff The 76-year-old star said that when the British singer agreed to buy her Beverly Hills mansion in 2022, she wanted him to drop the statue of the iconic Rocky Balboa character, and anything less would “ruin the whole deal”.
Stallone wanted to take the statue with him. WSJ“However [Adele] ‘This is not a deal,’ he said. This is going to ruin the whole deal,’ he explained. “He wanted the statue.”
The 35-year-old, 16 Grammy-winning actress has finally made her way, and Stallone has even said she’s been tracking Adele’s remodels since the reported $58 million sale. “[I] as it does, it makes it magnificent.”

However, the statue was apparently what sealed the deal for Adele, and it shows that the British singer is a huge fan of her Hollywood success story. Cliff It won three Oscars, including Best Picture, and was the highest-grossing film of 1976. It also produced a number of sequels and spin-offs.
According to CBS Sports, the San Diego Hall of Champions museum, which closed in 2017, originally housed the iconic statue of the Stallone character.
Punching the air, the 12 1/2-foot (1,800-pound) statue of Balboa is an exact replica of the Rocky statue by A. Thomas Schomburg, who created the original statue near the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the legendary film. Stallone later purchased the copy for $403,657, which ESPN confirmed at the time in the SCP auction sale.
David Kohler, head of SCP auctions, told ESPN the artwork is a “symbol of hope.”
“The Rocky statue is a lasting symbol of hope and a reminder that the weak can become champions through hard work, determination and hustle. We are thrilled that this statue is now in Rocky’s creator, Sylvester Stallone.”
