Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik sparked dating rumors after the two singers were spotted on what seemed like a romantic date night in New York.
In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, Klarissa Garcia claimed she witnessed a stewardess at a celebrity-favourite Manhattan restaurant lick Gomez and Malik’s lips as they had dinner together Thursday night.
“No one noticed them but them. [the hostess]Garcia tells Page Six on the phone Friday, adding that the restaurant is in Soho. “It was pretty public, but… in New York, nobody really cares about celebrities.”
Gomez and Malik, both 30 years old, didn’t seem to mind taking things lightly on their alleged outing.
Allegedly, the couple were kissing at their table in the middle of a large and lively restaurant in the city centre.
Garcia tells us that the couple spent their PDA-filled date night at peak dinner hour, staying for about two hours before breaking up.
Garcia’s TikTok added a screenshot of her conversation with her hostess friend, who claimed in text messages, “Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayne got into the house.” [blurred out restaurant] I sat them down while they were making love hand in hand.”
The stewardess later added, “Everyone here feels sorry for Selena. Meanwhile, with it [Gigi Hadid’s] BABY ZDDDYYY.”
Love rumors started swirling when eagle-eyed spies noticed that Malik recently became one of Gomez’s 403 million Instagram followers. Especially she only follows 18 people on her own account.
Malik shares his 2-year-old daughter, Khai, with his ex-girlfriend Gigi, who split from One Direction alumni in October 2021 after she was accused of hitting her mother, Yolanda Hadid.
The “Pillowtalk” singer vehemently denied the allegations.
Gigi remained relatively quiet about the incident, but her rep said at the time, “Gigi is only focusing on what’s best for her. [daughter] No. She seeks privacy during this time.
The 27-year-old model and Malik, who welcomed Khai in September 2020 after dating intermittently for five years, continued to co-parent despite their separation.
Meanwhile, Gomez was reportedly dating 33-year-old Drew Taggart, a member of The Chainsmokers, after she was last seen on a flirty date in Brooklyn in January. However, as she and DJ continue to spark the dating conversation, Gomez took to Instagram to confirm her single status.
Gomez has dated a lot of famous men in the past. She was in a celebrity relationship with Justin Bieber for eight years before breaking up in 2018. Months later, the “Peaches” singer proposed to his current wife, Hailey Bieber, née Baldwin.
The “Only Murders Are In The Building” actress and Hailey have since ignited rumors of feuds that got so out of control that Gomez had to ask her fans to stop sending death threats to the Rhode Skin founder because of the ongoing drama this week.

Gomez also dated The Weeknd, 33, for 10 months in 2017 and romantically linked with stars like Charlie Puth, 31, Samuel Krost, 30, Niall Horan, 29, Zedd, 33, and Orlando Bloom, 46.
A potential relationship between Gomez and Malik didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. A video from 2010 resurfaced “Wizards of Waverly” alum admitting that if he had to choose a One Direction member to kiss, it would be Malik’s choice of choice.
Fortunately for Gomez, Malik’s feelings seem to be mutual.
