While fans continue to question why he lost so much weight, Post Malone doubles down on his claim that he doesn’t have substance abuse issues.
“Hi everyone, I hope you’re having a great night,” the 27-year-old “Rockstar” rapper began in an Instagram post from Antwerp, Belgium, on Friday.
“I wanted to say I don’t do drugs, a lot of people have asked me to lose weight and I guess it’s my performance on stage.”
Malone later reassured fans that he had “so much fun” and “never felt so healthy” performing on the Twelve Carat Tour.
Announcing that she gave birth to a daughter last June, the “Congratulations” rapper revealed that she decided to change her diet “when your father’s life kicked in”.
“I’ve decided to quit soda and eat better so I can stay with this little angel for a long time,” she wrote.
“Cigarettes and beer are next, but I like to see myself as a patient guy…lol!
Malone also shared that he has some new projects in the studio as he is working on music and is “very excited” for fans to listen to him.
The “Better Now” singer said, “I just wanted to say hello and I hope to post more here, my brain is in a super place and I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time.” She finished before sending some encouraging words to her followers.
“If you’re having a hard time or need some love, I can tell you’re loved more than you think and I can keep ruining it,” she added. “goodnight nerds😤spread love and have fun🥾🥾🥾.”
Fans and friends praised Malone in the comments section for the post, but some pointed out that they felt the musician shouldn’t have to address concerns.
Model Tess Holliday said, “I’m sorry you feel like you have to clarify but hey, at least you know you’re loved no matter what!!”
“What a shame you had to explain this in the first place,” another user said.
About three months ago, Malone once again denied speculation that drugs contributed to his weight change.
“Wow,” a source told TMZ in February. The rapper “didn’t do drugs or get sick” and was actually “sticking to a strict diet and exercising” to gain a few pounds for an upcoming movie role.

In March 2020, Malone also told his followers that he “did not use drugs” after videos of him hitting the stage went viral.
“I’m feeling the best thing I’ve ever felt in my life,” the 24-year-old at the time said, adding, “That’s why I can bust my ass for these shows and the damn fall is on the floor and do all this fun s-t.”
But Malone has struggled with substance abuse issues, especially alcohol, in the past, and a father of one spoke out about overcoming substance abuse in June 2022.
“It was vodka and it made up a fifth of it and was trying to hang out and talk to people who weren’t there,” Malone said on “The Howard Stern Show” at the time.
He later added, “Now I want to get better every day. All we can do is not advertise, that’s the golden rule.
