Tom Hanks appeared to scold an employee as he walked the red carpet with his wife, Rita Wilson, at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday evening.
In the stills, the unknown man can be seen pointing at the 66-year-old “Man Named Otto” actor, dressed in a black tuxedo, while posing with his “Asteroid City” co-stars during the film’s premiere.
When Hanks was joined by his wife on the carpet, he could be seen pointing his finger at the young man and making a stern face during their conversation.
Wilson, who looks stunning in a black dress and a long black jacket adorned with silver stones, also raised his hand during the heated argument, but it’s unclear what they were talking about.
Despite the event, “That’s What You Did!” The co-stars continued their walk on the red carpet, posing for more photos.
Page Six reached out to Hanks’ representative for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.
The couple’s outing came about a month after he and Wilson, also 66, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
The “Now and Then” actress shared a sweet photo of her husband staring at her while holding a cake with “Happy Birthday” on it.

Hanks and Wilson first met on the set of “Bosom Buddies” in 1981. The couple started out as just friends since the “Cast Away” star was married to his then-college girlfriend, Samantha Lewes.
The “Larry Crowne” co-stars later made their relationship public in 1986 and were married two years later.
They share two children together: sons Chet, 32, and Truman, 27. Hanks is also the father of 45-year-old sons Colin and Lewes, and 41-year-old daughter Elizabeth from a previous marriage.
