Ricki Lake is feeling free!
The 54-year-old former talk show host celebrated her “complete acceptance of herself” by posting a nude photo of herself on Instagram on Monday.
In the picture, Lake shone with a big smile as she sat in a flowing tub on what appeared to be a deck. The photo was taken with his head tilted towards the sky and his arms folded across his chest.
In his caption, Lake implied to his followers that he embraced his world to the fullest. In the post, she defended herself and her husband, Ross Burningham, whom she married in January.
“Sure, these are the best days of my life,” Lake wrote.
“54 1/2 years old (young!) Grateful for everything it took to get me here. A place of complete self-acceptance and self-love. ♥️” he wrote.
“Ross, you make every adventure the most fun ever. ♥️ Oh and #millvalley is the best—! ♥️. #nature #alders #love #gratitude #yerliöfori #selflove ♥️.”
This hair spray Alum was showered with praise from celebrity friends after posting the nude photo.
A talk show host friend Rosie O’Donnell wrote in the comment section: “I can’t tell you how much I adore you ❤️” Lucifer actress Rachael Harris added: “You keep getting better, ma’am ❤️ 🙌 👏 👏 👏.”
Lake’s last post came at another personally liberating moment, three years after she shaved her head.
In December 2022, the former stage star spoke about the “hard decision” on Instagram when she uploaded a 2019 video of the moment describing her struggle with androgenetic alopecia, a hair loss condition she had privately dealt with for nearly 30 years before sharing. His story in 2020.
In the clip, Lake blows her hair while a friend helps her use her razor. At one point, Lake collected bits of her cut hair and held them close to her chest.

“I’ve never shared this raw video footage before, but I felt like I wanted to share it now for those of you who have followed my story and invested in it,” Lake said at the time. “Some of you personally know my struggle very well and I want you to know, I really feel you.”
He stated that the video showed him coming to “a place of peace, liberation, and most importantly, self-love and self-acceptance.”
