Gisele Bündchen could be holding a podium return.
The 42-year-old supermodel describes rumors of her divorce from Tom Brady, co-parenting of three children, and dating her teenage daughter, in a new Vanity Fair cover story that Page Six reported privately in January. jitsu instructor and his next professional show.
Anne Nelson, Bündchen’s longtime representative, told the magazine that her star client had some “really big fashion moments” and added: “The world is her oyster.”
The Brazilian beauty retired from runway modeling in 2015 – apart from an appearance during the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro – and in September told Elle she had “zero desire” to return to the podium.
But it looks like Bündchen has changed her mind.
“They still ask if she changes her mind,” added the model herself, after Nelson told the broadcast she had “a million requests to do marching shows in Paris.”
While Bündchen had been modeling since the age of 13, she was standing on the 1998 Alexander McQueen runway when she was discovered in a São Paolo mall (she wore little other than body paint, in a moment she’s called “traumatic” ever since) that put her on the map.
During her Vanity Fair interview, she talked about working in such a “challenging” industry and said she had to “survive” by being treated “as if you were an object … as if you had no feelings”.
Bündchen added that she would quit modeling early in her career but “doesn’t want to go back home”. [to Brazil] I’m empty-handed… I didn’t want to fail.”
Not only did Bündchen fail, she also became one of the highest-paid models in the world. And although she took a hiatus from her career in the mid-2010s to spend more time with Brady and her children, she feels “overcharged” about her career after the breakup.
In just the past few months, the blonde bombshell has posed topless for a Louis Vuitton campaign, covered Vogue Italia, and swung around a stripper pole for an Arezzo commercial—and it looks like she’s only just getting started.
