Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is a high school graduate!
Old Here Comes Honey Boo Boo The 17-year-old star graduated from Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Georgia, on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Thompson’s mother, Mama June Shannon, and sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who each shared a video of the event on Instagram. In the clips, Alana is seen wearing a yellow cap and robe getting her high school diploma.
“I’m so proud of him to be our 2023 graduate and yes, we’ve been shouting WTG LANA all this time,” he wrote on his post on June 43, adding in the comments section: TIME – a reference to his infamous slogan.
In her own post, 23-year-old Lauryn said, “To say I’m proud is an understatement. I was surprised to be a witness there in the next episode. How you’ve grown, how beautiful your spirit is & & most importantly, how far you’ve come despite everything. Hearing your name said and It’s truly an honor to watch you walk. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter of your life brings. Please always know that you are my biggest fan and I will always & forever shout out loud for you. I love you lana 🥰.”

The turning point came less than a month after Alana shared an Instagram carousel of her pre-graduation prep.
In a few photos, she’s posing in a bright pink cap and dress, while in other images, she’s wearing a high-end sweatshirt with jeans that read “Senior” on one leg and “Class of 2023” on the other.
“I’m less than 30 days away from graduation. I’m proud of myself and how far I’ve come. [come]Alana posted the following note on her post: “There were points I didn’t think I’d come this far, but I did it. 🎓”
On her way to graduation, the reality star attended prom with her 21-year-old boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, with the radiant support of her family.
For this occasion, Alana wore a pink mermaid style dress featuring a beaded bodice. She did a half ponytail hairstyle and finished off her dress with matching pink eye makeup and nails.
In one photo, Alana posed with June and her new husband, Justin Stroud. The trio smiled as Alana stood in the center and wrapped her arms around the pair.
According to a deleted Instagram post by Alana, Lauryn, Alana’s legal guardian, was also there for the photos.
In August, Lauryn shared a photo gallery on Instagram showing Alana posing for her final photos from her high school yearbook.
She shared the caption, “Today, my not-so-young sister had her senior photos taken 🥺❤️”.
“I’m proud of how far you’ve come despite all the challenges thrown at you,” he added. “To Alana’s senior in high school. Sorry for crying ugly ❤️. We love our Lana @honeybooboo”
