Top 10 Worst Live Performances

Top 10 Worst Live Performances

Things that don’t go with live performances: Auto-Tune, lip syncing, and arrogance.

10. Whitney Houston

Song: I Will Always Love you

Venue: Grammy Awards 1994

Crack and singing don’t go together. They will always be at war and crack, unfortunately, will always win.

Like most of you, I like Whitney and considered her voice [maybe] second only to Aretha Franklin. Even then, her voice has a certain kind of sophistication. Unlike many divas now who try too hard with their stratospheric notes, Whitney chilled. She sang with ease, never trying to impress, just singing the song well.

Then, cracked came into her life and she delivered one of the worst live performances of all time with [perhaps] her biggest song ever. She cracked [no pun intended] at least four times and repeated one line in the intro.

Yes, she is back and is giving a string of bad performances but this started it all. I hope she bounces back, I really do.

9. Jamie Foxx

Song: Blame It On The Alcohol

Venue: Grammy Awards 2010

If you are going to sing live, you have to sing! You can’t just scream and cheer while your Auto-Tuned recorded self is playing and walk the stage like you own the world at the end of it.

8. Slash, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Norah Jones, Brian Wilson, Alicia Keys, Scott Weiland, Billie Joe, Tim McGraw, Steven Tyler, Allison Kraus(violin), Dave Kushner(guitar), Matt Sorum(drum), and Duff McKagen(bass)

Song: Across The Universe

Venue: Grammy Awards 2006

How? How can a collective of musical greats destroy a classic Beatles song?

Man! It sounded like one big drunken karaoke party. And I’m being nice. Everyone sang out of tune, no one gave a crap what the next person’s part is, and I highly doubt anyone in there knew what the song means.

Beatles does not deserve this.

7. Ashlee Simpson

Song: Autobiography

Venue: Saturday Night Live 2004

Ashlee Simpson was to sing Autobigraphy but another song of hers came on… with her vocals. I think this is a skit because it was funny as hell.

6. Milli Vanilli

Song: Girl You Know It’s True (?)

Venue: Grammy Awards 1990

Ladies and gentlemen, Milli Vanilli!… with someone else’s voice.
