Top 10 Worst Celebrity Parenting Moments

I am not saying these celebrities are bad parents. I’m saying, like all of us, they also have so moments of bad parenting.

Here are some of those crazy moments. I do hope it doesn’t happen everyday.

10. Joan Crawford


Joan Crawford disinherited her adopted child Christina with the famous line “It is my intention to make no provision herein for my son Christopher or my daughter Christina for reasons which are well known to them.” Christina came out with a book titled, Mommie Dearest which told stories of abuse and neurosis.

Christina talked about her mother’s alcoholism, perfectionism and possible bipolar disorder. Crawford, allegedly, had violent rages.



9. Britney Spears


Britney Spears had several misjudgment and it is unfortunate that a lot of it have been caught by the cameras. She tripped and almost dropped her son, Jayden James, while holding a beer on the other hand, driving while his son’s car seatbelt was not properly buckled and driving with her son her lap.

Spears divorced Kevin Federline when Jayden was not quite two months old, and they have been in custody circus since. After Spears’ public breakdowns, the court has granted full custody to Federline.



8. James Brown


James Brown, Godfather of Soul, forgot to include his youngest child, a five year old, in his last will and testament. He died of complications of pneumonia in 2006. He had a complicated family life.


He had six children from three marriages, and one five-year-old son (James Brown Jr.) from his controversial fourth marriage to Tomi Rae Hynie.

His will was written before the birth of his youngest child. Under South Carolina state law, a child born after the date of the last will still has some rights to inherit – but young James Jr.’s claim was rapidly tied up in lawsuits and paternity tests.



7. Alec Baldwin


Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger have been going through a bitter custody battle over their daughter, Ireland. The couple divorced in 2002 after nine years of marriage. The 2007 voice-mail message was the climax.

In the voice message, the actor calls his daughter “rude, thoughtless little pig.” Baldwin got so mad after her daughter switched her phone off when they were supposed to have a scheduled talk. In the same tape, Baldwin calls his ex-wife Basinger “a thoughtless pain in the ass,” and said he will “straighten your ass out”. He also said “Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone… You have insulted me for the last time…This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother, and you do it to me constantly over and over again.”



6. Lana Turner


Lana Turner had a relationship Johnny Stompanato, an ex-Marine who was violent and jealous. Two years of abuse and by April 4, 1958, she told him that their relationship was over – the two got so violent that 14-year-old Cheryl Crane grabbed a kitchen knife and ran into the room to protect her mother. Stompanato was fatally injured.

It was later deemed a justifiable homicide. The troubled girl grew up to have a successful career in real estate, and later formed a good relationship with her mother.
