Top 10 Shortest Celebrity Marriages

Celebrity marriages are fascinating because… they’re celebrities.

Whatever happens in their marriages is none of our effin’ business… but they’re celebrities so it’s fun to watch and speculate in our spare time or even when we’re busy… any time actually.

So here are the shortest ones. In all fairness to them, no one really opened up about the problem they had that forced them into separation.

10. Renee Zellweger & Kenny Chesney: 4 Months


The actress and the country singer wed in a small ceremony on the Caribbean island of St. John on May 9, 2005. At the time of their split, a joint statement from the couple said, “The miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start is the only reason for this annulment.”



9. Lisa Marie Presley & Nicolas Cage: 3 Months


“I’m sad about this but we should not have been married in the first place. It was a big mistake,” Presley said after their split. She was also wed to Michael Jackson for just nine months.



8. Shannen Doherty & Ashley Hamilton: 5 months


Her first engagement was with real estate dealer Chris Foufas but he asked for the engagement ring back with he proved that she was cheating on him.

Her second fiancé was Dean Factor, heir to the Max Factor fortune. They broke up after alleged physical and violent fights. After their break up, one of them was given a restraining order. Guess which one.

Doherty, then 22, wed Hamilton after one month of dating in 1993.

She married again, this time with Rick Salomon but that didn’t last too because of Doherty’s special appearance in Paris Hilton’s sex video.



7. Chad Michael Murray & Sophia Bush: 5 months


“Fraud” is the reason cited in Sophia’s petition for annulment.

Maybe she thought he’s a dude and he wasn’t? Hey, I’m just guessing.

A friend of Bush said that Murray didn’t believe in the sanctity of marriage. Third party after only four months?



6. Chris Kattan & Sunshine Tutt: 8 Weeks


Chris Kattan filed for a legal separation just 8 weeks after his wedding to Sunshine Tutt. Kattan, though, said that they weren’t planning on divorcing. They just needed time off.

There were speculations that there was another woman involved. For him or her?

Well, at least Kattan got a prenuptial agreement.
