Medieval Literature… I can’t even remember contemporary literature. This guy should be enshrined with the the laureat of awesomeness.
4. Barry Melton
Band: Country Joe and the Fish
Academic Qualification: He passed the California Bar Exams WITHOUT STUDYING LAW!
Damn right I’m screaming. How on earth did he manage to become that awesome. Holy crap! Some people study law for ten freakin’ years and he passed the bar exam without even going to law school for a day? Mother of good heavens!
While he was traveling as a musician, Melton devoured books on law, and in 1982 he passed the California bar exam.
As the public defender for Yolo County, Melton headed up an office of 21 attorneys before retiring. Now he’s back to focusing on music.
3. Dexter Holland

Mastering Biology is already awesome. Adding Molecular in the equation is double awesome.

Where’s Rivers Cuomo?
Harvard graduate not bad at all… but there is not a lot of formal write ups about other credentials. Do you have any?
Getting a graduate degree in the sciences far, far, far, far surpasses an undergrad degree in the humanities. I would nudge Tom Morello way down.
