A photo only represents what a person right at the moment it was taken but never what the person is all about as a whole. The photos, videos and facts below, therefore, represent only a fraction of who they are… but it’s a wonderful fraction… magical even… taunting perhaps.
10. Kurt Cobain... A Moment With His Daughter
His music has become a secondary contributor to Kurt Cobain’s immortality. This is sad, really. Considering he has always rebelled against being popular for anything beyond his music.
After all his efforts, he is exactly what he so hated to become, a money making venture.
One thing he made clear, though, in all his interviews (oddly, some fans refuse to accept the fact) that he holds three things close to his heart – his child, his music and his wife, Courtney.
The video below is from their last concert.
9. Marilyn Manson... Bare
It is said that Marilyn Manson was extremely bullied when he was young. Hard to imagine that considering the outrageousness of what he does on stage.
However, unlike other bullied kids, Manson brings out his agression on music and performance. Okay, now that makes sense now.
Alright Manson, bleed as much as you can take it. We’re with you.
Watch the video below and get a piece of his thoughts. They are pretty… nice.
8. Bob Marley and that other thing
Bob Marley is considered the first superstar from a third world country.
Marley is also, perhaps, the only singer in the world who is known to never have written a bad song.
7. Bono in a different way
Paul David Hewson, a.k.a Bono, made a stong political statement in television history when he said in 1995 MTV Awards Paris, “What a city! What a night! What a crowd! What a bomb! What a mistake! What a wanker you have for President!” This was during the time when France was doing nuclear experiments.
He has been nominated to the Nobel Peace Prize.
Below is an extremely rare and funny U2 parody of The Godfather.
6. James Hetfield back when
He is not one to enjoy interviews or any other kind of attention outside of their performance.
Early in Metallica’s career, however, they were accused and sued for stealing ideas and videos from another artist.
Below is James 1996 Interview with Headbangers Ball. This is a rare one.
