5. Steel Magnolias
Directed by: Herbert Ross
It is, indeed, the funniest movie that will make you cry.
Watching women in their 60s live their lives with their closest friends seems highly uninteresting for young people but this is a bunch of women who will, no doubt, neck stomp every 20 something person into submission with their unbelievable awesome friendship.
4. Stand By Me
Directed by: Rob Reiner
Let’s face it, there are what we call “losers” in school. These losers are the one who think they are cool. Those that are popularly believed to be “losers” are the ones who usually set out to find the greatest adventures in life. Stand By Me is a story about that, that moment in your life when you make the greatest memory of your childhood with your friends.
3. E.T.
Directed by: Steven Spielberg
Who thinks this is the greatest Spielberg movie?
If you look at it, it seems that E.T. is the one who needs rescuing. He is afraid. He is all alone. He is 3 million lightyears away from home. If your look at it again, Elliott is in the same kind of predicament. He is starting to grow up in an environment of immaturity and to think, he is supposed to be home.
2. Breakfast Club
Directed by: John Hughes
Unlike the other films that explored the progress of friends, this movie shows the beginning of it.

Our taste and reference points are very similar so I look forward to that! Thanks for adding some Asian films, something I feel my list lacks. Keep checking in to see what else gets on there. Thanks.
