Top 10 Most Awesome U2 Tracks of All-Time

5. Beautiful Day – All That You Can’t Leave Behind

The song that brought back the U2 to us after a long gap is simple and straightforward, bringing a joyous and cheerful mood as soon as it is played around. The euphoric number has an inspiring quality to it. Its simple lyrics speaks volume, with a hint of biblical overtones.
The song simply tells us to give importance to “Life”. It is one of the four songs that have been played at every live performance of the band since their releases, along with Vertigo, One and City of Blinding Lights.

4. .I Will Follow – Boy

This powerful rock number gave us U2, nearly 25 years back. One of the most frequently performed song, I will follow is a homage to Bono’s mother, who died when he was very young. The song still has that freshness to it, and its energy is going to keep Bono young in our hearts, always.

3 Until the End of the World – Achtung Baby

The song describes a fictional conversation between Jesus Christ and Judas Iscariot, and has an amazing touch of creativity behind it. The words, the tune, the rhythm, everything is amazing, topped with Bono’s voice, that touches every heart and emotion. The song is one of the best example of Bono’s sheer quality of voice and keeps me falling in love with him again and again.

2. I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For – The Joshua Tree

The song comes from the album that was U2′s answer to the Americans. The song has deep influences from gospel music, containing some direct references to Christianity, the bible and god. We might not agree with their thoughts in the song, but we really can not disagree that it exhibits some degree of honesty and sincerity, and that makes the song one of my most favourites.
