Directed by Gus Van Sant, Good Will Hunting was released in1997. This coming of age movie was such a hit at the box office at it earned two Academy Awards. It had an impressive star cast comprising of stars like Matt Damon, Minnie Driver, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgard.

2. Forrest Gump

Based on a 1986 novel, Forrest Grump was a coming of age movie released in 1994. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis. With stars like Tom Hanks, Robin Wright Penn and Gary Sinise, this movie was earned many awards including the Golden Globe Awards, Academy Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Young Artist Awards.
