Here are some celebrities who had so much fun in their first wedding, they divorced and got married again.
10. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
This is perhaps the most (in)famous remarriage in history. Elizabeth Taylor played an Egyptian pharaoh and Richard Burton her lover. They were both married when the “fell in love” and their affair became an international scandal.
March 6, 1964, Taylor’s divorce from Eddie Fisher becomes final and she married Burton nine days later.
They went through a much publicized divorce and then a much publicized re-marriage on October 10, 1975.
9. Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith
Don Johnson and Melani Griffith met on the set of The Harrad Experiment when he was 22 and she was 14. They had a proper Vegas wedding in 1976, when Griffith was 18. They divorced, less than a year later.
They reconciled a decade later. They had a child and remarried in 1989, and stayed together until 1996. Griffith eventually left Johnson for Antonio Banderas.
8. Stephen Crane and Lana Turner
Actor-restaurateur Stephen Crane twice married this leading lady with a reputation as a femme fatale following her role, Lana Turner on July 17, 1942. Turner annulled the marriage because Crane, it turned out, was yet to be divorced with his first wife, Carol Ann Kurtz.
Lana discovered she was pregnant so she remarried Crane in March 1943. They divorced a second time in August 1944.
On April 4, 1958, Stephen Crane’s 14 year old daughter, Cheryl, killed Lana Turner’s boyfriend, Johnny Stompanato.
7. Richard Pryor & Flynn Belaine
Comedian Richard Pryor got married seven times. One of them, Flynn Belaine, he married twice – 1986 and 1990.
Pryor’s last marriage is to Jennifer Lee.
6. Elliot Gould and Jennifer Bogart
Jennifer Bogar is Elliot Gould’s second wife. He married her twice – 1973 and 1978.
