4. Wrong Queen Gets Crowned
This fail happened after the pageant.
They crowned the wrong girl citing accounting error as the reason. So they took the crown away and gave it to the girl that should have won.
Fail… fuckin’ fail.
3. Miss California 1988 Crowning Controversy
From an article 6/16/1988:
Michelle Anderson (the girl who made the scene) says she dieted, bleached her hair, took voice lessons and spent $5,000 in the 18 months that she plotted to disrupt the Miss California pageant and ”expose the lies they promote.”
Anderson represented Santa Cruz in the contest Monday night at San Diego. Just as the winner, Marlise Ricardos, was being announced, Anderson pulled from her bra a white banner reading ”Pageants Hurt All Women.”
