Top 10 Athletes You Want In Your Brawl Team

Top 10 Athletes You Want In Your Brawl Team

5. Ron Hextall

Career Stat: Ronald Jeffrey Hextall is the Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings, as well as General Manager of the Kings’ AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs. Before that, he was a professional ice hockey goaltender in the NHL and a great one at that. Hockey = brawl. Enough said.

Badassery Stat: Imagine Mr. T of the A Team during a fight. Now, give him some cocaine. Then hit him with some steroids. Then ask Murdoch (still of the A Team) to give him some dementia genes. That’s Hextall’s temper. He holds the single season record for penalties in minutes by a goalie with 113. Someone should compute the amount of damage in hospital bills caused by a single player. He might win.

4. Bob Probert

Career Stat: Robert A. Probert was a Canadian ice hockey forward. He is a pretty good player but I am not looking for a good player in a street fight, I need someone who can kick people’s ass and that’s what Probert is known for.

Badassery Stat:

* A brawl with Craig Coxe of the Vancouver Canucks in the mid-1980s

* A career-spanning series of I’m-gonna-beat-you-to-death brawls with Tie Domi of the New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, and Toronto Maple Leafs

* A career-spanning I’m-gonna-make-you-so-ugly-your-mom-will-not-recognize-you brawls with longtime enforcer Stu Grimson

* One of the craziest and WTF fights I have ever seen on professional sports with former teammate Joey Kocur . Probert and Kocur grabbed the nearest opposing player without realizing who it was and continued punching each other even after they identified each other

* One of the longest and hardcore fights in history against Marty McSorley.

3. Bill Romanowski

Career Stat:
Romanowski is a linebacker from the United States. He played 243 consecutive games. That is long for a linebacker. He is the only linebacker to start 5 Super Bowl Games. He won back to back Super Bowls with two different organizations. In other words, he is one of the best.

Partial Badassery Stat:

1995 = kicked Arizona Cardinals fullback Larry Centers in the head, was subsequently fined $4,500

1997 = helmet-to-helmet hit on then-Carolina Panthers quarterback Kerry Collins in a preseason game resulting in Collins sustaining a broken jaw. He was fined $20,000

1997 = spat in the face of 49ers wide receiver J.J. Stokes for thrash talking him

1999 = made consecutive illegal hits on Tony Gonzales, I don’t even give a damn how much he was fined

1999 = threw a football at Bryan Cox’ crotch

2003 = beat the holy hell out of his teammate Marcus Williams. He crushed the helmet and the eye socket through a punch. I don’t give shit why he did that. I need him with me in a streetfight and I mean BESIDE me!

2. Barry Hall

Career Stat:Barry Hall is is a professional Australian footballer. He is a great player. Just take my word for it so we can on with his badassery.

Badassery Stat (so far):

* known as the “wild man” and “Big Bad Barry” because of his field aggression

* one of the most feared players

* struck Sam McFarlane in the jaw, breaking it in three places. McFarlane spent the next three days in hospital getting the jaw wired back together and was sidelined for ten weeks. McFarlane retired

* headbutted Kangaroos tagger Adam Simpson

* attacked Joel Corey

* punched Matt Maguire in the stomach

* punched Brent Staker in the jaw and broke his wrist

* attempted to strike Shane Wakelin… lucky Wakelin

* Hall was handed a one match suspension for an attempted strike on Collingwood’s Shane Wakelin

*punched Ben Rutten in the face

* Scott D. Thompson pushed Hall while Hall was tying his shoe laces. Hall headlocked him
