Digg it!One would argue that one should not judge the quality of an artist’s music by the music video. True, but if some of them are as absurd as the ones we have listed below, it is difficult to ignore them and merely enjoy the music! Here is our list of the ten most absurd music videos of all time – make sure you listen to them only on radio!
10. Survivor – Eye of the Tiger
The creative director obviously ran out of ideas for this video. The solution – get the whole band striding very purposefully, clad in black leather jackets. Everyone that is, other than the keyboard player who did not get the memo about wearing the uniform!
9. U2 – Numb
You really do not know who is feeling more numb – The Edge who is having his face rubbed by an unknown number of feet or the audience who have to sit through this video?
8. David Bowie and Mick Jagger – Dancing in the Streets
If you could not bear to see Mick Jagger or David Bowie doing a solo (never mind their music which could fairly good), you are going to have a tough time watching this video featuring both of them. Especially when they shake it together or sing with their faces close to another.
7. Vanilla Ice – I Love You
Vanilla Ice certainly did not get a lot of love for this video. After all, what was the point of those girls dancing around in the background, with some of them on top of a pay phone? That is unless it was to make some deep philosophical point!
6 Billy Squier – Rock Me Tonite
Surprisingly, Rock Me Tonite was one of Billy Squier’s biggest pop hits. Not surprisingly, the video was not. After all, it featured him prancing around in pajamas and a pink tank top! Really, we are better off watching Richard Simmons!
