Top 10 Hottest Female Comic Book Characters

These are the female comic book characters that didn’t just raise the bar with their crime fighting skills (or lack thereof) they raised other things too.

Just to clarify, I make no regard whether or not they are superheroes, just as long as they are comic book characters.

I am not putting any consideration to their powers, intelligence, or morality. This is all about pure unadulterated hotness.

10. Elektra

She wouldn’t be Daredevil’s love interest for nothing.

What made her sexier is her violent nature, wild lifestyle and being a cold blooded killer.

She is also one of the very few comic book character who works out daily so she could push the limits of her human ability. She has the body of an athlete, broad shoulders, small hips, defined cuts.

9. Psylocke

She originally has telepathic power. After she acquired telekinetic powers (without explanation) later on too. She’s probably the only character that can take on Jean Grey now.

I think if her original artwork is tweaked a bit, she will already look like a Japanese character. Unlike Elektra, she has a slender figure and has never been depicted as a work out buff.

8. Barbara Gordon, A.K.A. Oracle/Batgirl

A superhero geek plus I a have always been more attracted to Brunettes.

I think Nightwing and her would make a great couple so I am still waiting for the wedding date. He already proposed and she accepted, what’s up people?

7. Huntress

She’s very Asian, I think. Black hair, tanned, and very slim.

Nightwing had a fling with her (he’s getting the hot ones!).

I also like the original backstory more than the new one. When she first appeared, she was introduced as the daughter of Catwoman and Batman and trained alongside Robin (Dic Grayson) to become a super athlete.

6. Storm

She’s black and she’s blonde. I think she’s so beautiful that even Halle Berry (who is absolutely stunning) seems still not enough for me to capture Storm’s appeal. There is something badass about Halle. She did, actually, debut as a punk girl.

I hope they find the right actress for her.

You know you’re a little sick when you get attracted to male comic book characters but oddly enough I see countless of women hanging posters of comic book character on their desk or bedrooms.

I know men do it but I just find it weird when women do it, I don’t iknow why.

Here are the 10 hottest male comic book characters. This has nothing to do with their badassery, just their hotness. Whatever that means.

10. Northstar

It’s odd because he is, to my knowledge, the only openly gay superhero. This doesn’t seem to stop women from their fantasy to become the woman to reverse his sexual preference.

Jean-Paul joins Alpha Flight, adopting the codename “Northstar.” It is there that he is reunited with his twin sister Jeanne-Marie (“Aurora”). Later, he joined the X-Men through the Uncanny X-Men #120 where he joins Alpha Flight combating the X-Men to capture former teammate Wolverine.

9. Nightwing

Way to go for Nightwing. Gone are the days when he had suffer that awful Robin costume just as so Batman can shine.

I think the hotness has nothing to do with the character history, stories or abilities – it has a lot to do with the costume. The assassin like appeal is coming into play plus the angst that he holds because of his separation from Batman.

8. Victor Mancha

The “newest” character on the list.

Victor Mancha was created by Ultron to infiltrate The Avengers and destroy them from within.

The Runaways first heard of Victor Mancha as a boy who would grow up to dismantle the Avengers. Due to his prophesied betrayal, Victor was kept under close surveillance when he first joined the team, but has since been accepted as a full-fledged member.

7. Daredevil

I guess blindness makes him hot? I dunno. Some women say it is solely based on his look. Other women say there is value in the fact that he carry with him the burden of feeling and hearing everything because of his heightened sense so it makes him a bit of an emo. Some women like emo, I guess.

So, I suggest take a good look at him and and decide for yourself.

6. Flash

The Kid Flash to be exact.

Apparently it’s the shirtless costume and oddly developed abs even at the young that make women swoon. Women also find his naughtiness and restlessness cute.

Top 10 Badass Superheroine/Anti-Heroine Costumes

Thankfully, female superheroes are proud of their femininity when it comes to their costumes. Kicking asses doesn’t stop them from wearing super tight tights, micro minis and plunging necklines. How they manage to hide what are supposed to be hidden while they fight is beyond me. I heard the standard practice is double sided tapes.

My wish, however, is for them to not be too careful sometimes. They are fighting, anyway. I think it is perfectly acceptable if, every now and then, some parts show themselves.

Yeah, I think for some people it is totally sick to find comic characters sexy but not for geeks.

10. Power Girl

This has been one of the most controversial costumes of all time simply because no one can find an acceptable explanation why there is such a huge hole on the chest part of her costume. In fact, it was not that big in the beginning of her character. It just grew larger and larger as time goes by.

In one Justice League edition, she explains to Superman that she is thinking of a symbol just like the S of Superman. Eventually, when she thinks of one, she will close the hole.

At another time, Crimson Fox question her about it and she simply said, “shows what I am: female, healthy. If men want to degrade themselves by staring, that’s their problem, I’m not going to apologize for it.”

9. Storm

Storm was one of the first black comic book characters, and the first black female, to play either a major or supporting role in the big two comic book houses, Marvel Comics and DC Comics. Within these two companies, her 1975 debut was only preceded by a few male black characters.

She has gone through several costume changes and I find all of it sexy and badass.

8. Catwoman

If you ask me, I really like the original purple costume. It makes her standout and she has a perfect excuse for wearing purple leather – she’s a girl.

The change to an all black leather costume came after the movie was shown. I do not think it’s bad, I just feel like she lost her uniqueness.

7. Scarlet Witch

Wanda Maximoff in real life, she is the sister of Quicksilver and wife to Vision. She first appeared as a villain and then joined the Avengers. She is the daughter of Magneto and has a unique super power. She she can alter probability so as to cause mishaps for her opponents. In other words, she “hexes” them.

Even her costume is unique. Aside from a one piece bathing-suite like costumes, she wears a wimple.

6. Spider-Girl

She doesn’t even need to show skin to look sexy and badass.

The spiderweb between her inner biceps and sides of her body is a nice touch.

Top 10 Badass Superheroes/Anti-Heroes Costumes

Much as we laugh about the idea of wearing costumes, it remains to be a big contributor to the success or failure of comic book characters. There are several lists around on the best and worst costumes of all time. Some of them more scientific in approach than the others.

My list is not scientific, it’s just personal. It is based on nothing but my personal preference.

I’m just another fan, in front of my comics, daydreaming that someday I could wear those costumes without looking silly.

Note: I didn’t bother including Superman and Batman on the list because those two have transcended the comic book and superhero genre and is actually sitting well embedded in our culture. Without Superman, there will be no other superheroes and Batman’s dark hero image has become the paragon of human heroism.

10. Thor

Kinda weird to think that someone whose powers were given by the Norse gods would become one of the hottest superheroes around. Actually, the costume initially looked silly with all the colors and wings on his head.

But it grows in you and when you do get use to it, it looks a bit of a badass in that ancient kind of way. The thick plates screams classic and raw.

Therefore, I like it.

9. Dr. Doom

Just look at the guy. That’s just badass.

If someone who looks like this stands in front of me, I will die instantly due to an overdose of shock and awesomeness.

8. Kid Flash

The version on the photo is the original costume of Kid Flash. He used to be dressed the exact same costume as his mentor. Eventually, they decided to give Kid Flash an identity all his own. I’d say the Kid Flash costume looks better.

This costume still pays tribute to the original Flash costume with red legs and yellow boots but the addition of yellow torso and red gloves make it unique. I actually would ditch the mask but since he needs to conceal his identity, it was a necessary addition.

Now, I know there are several Flash storylines out there, unfortunately, I am not up to date with it so I cannot shed light on which storyline this costume actually appears. If anyone cares to share, be my guest.

7. Green Lantern

I have to admit, I was not a big Green Lantern fan until I heard about the movie in the works and started reading about it.

I should have done it sooner.

This is one of the coolest DC costumes and characters around. I think this is an enhancement of the original Green Lantern costume (feel free to correct me as I am still not so deep into the Green Lantern literature).

It used to be trunks, boots, chest symbol and cape which is the standard costume model. This one is a very streamlined green leotard with black circular accents around the shoulders, worn over an understated black bodysuit. Of course, the logo remains on the chest.

Very modern.

6. Wolverine

The original costume was an awkward yellow body suit, blue trunks and whiskers on his facemask. After the movie, artists Dave Cockrum and John Byrne revised it to make it “less awkward”. It still didn’t work for me and, apparently, for many people because they changed it again – to the old one.

It wasn’t after the movie was shown that they shifted to the all black leather costume.

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely designed a new set which was pretty much appropriate to the much more mellow Wolverine we know now.

Artist John Cassaday is the latest designer to revamp his look. No more blue trunks and big black floppy boot flares. Two stripes of blue is now on the uniform and no more underwear on the outside. There is a touch of yellow.

Top 10 Smartest Comic Book Characters

Just because they have harcore abs and kick people wearing super tights doesn’t mean some heroes don’t have super brains too.

Although many elitist and “outsiders” don’t believe it, intelligence is common and, in fact, necessary in the comic book world. A lot of the most popular characters are actually geek to the core.

Stan Lee and others creators understand that for great power to serve good, great intelligence is necessary.

Here are my favorites, who is yours?

10. Bruce Wayne, Batman

Field of Genius: Chemistry, Forensics, and Criminology

Without any superpowers, Bruce Wayne was forced to use his own drive and intellect to become Batman. He focused his studies on chemistry, forensics, and criminology, all in the pursuit of increasing his superhero skills.

His intense studies have made him a great detective and strategist, choosing to plan and outsmart his enemies rather than just fight them. He also designs most of the tools, gadgets, and vehicles he uses as Batman.

9. Adrian Veidt, Ozymandias

Field of Genius: Advanced Technology and Genetics

Veidt is a main character in Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, published by DC Comics.

Dr. Manhattan may be the most powerful being in the whole universe but Veidt is the most intelligent. So intelligent that he controlled the most powerful.

He is a real gray character. His reasoning may be twisted but… valid.

8. Tony Stark, Iron Man

Field of Genius: Technology, Physics

Stark created Iron Man and relies on no one else but his own intelligence to improve the armor.

He is also one of the few superheroes who lives his life in the open.

7. Hank McCoy, Beast

Field of Genius: Genetics, Human Biology

Never mistake him for being dumb just because he looks like a beast. He is considered the world’s foremost expert on mutations and evolutionary human biology. Among his greatest contributions was finding a cure for the destructive Legacy virus, a deadly plague that killed thousands of mutants.

6. Bruce Banner, Hulk

Field of Genius: Nuclear Physics

With a PhD in nuclear physics, it’s no surprise that he is described by Marvel comics as “possessing a mind so brilliant it cannot be measured on any known intelligence test.”

He showed early signs of being a genius when he developed a time bomb to get back at a school bully when he was still in school.

Imagine if you hold the very first issued which you bought for less than a dollar… that is now worth a house and a lot.

9. Flash Comics, No. 1

Value: $289,000

The Flash and Hawkman are two of the most recognizable comic book superheroes in history.
They made their first appearance in 1940 through this Flash comics.

8. More Fun Comics, No. 52

Value: $316,000

The Spectre appeared on the 52nd issue of More Fun Comics.
He may not be as popular as Spiderman but hey… he entrance to the world is now worth $316,000.

7. Batman, No. 1

Value: $359,000

This is not Batman’s first appearance but this is the first comics named after him.
This is when everyone should have realized he is already a start.

6. Marvel Comics, No. 1

Value: $367,000

A start studded cast graced this issue of Marvel Comics.
Iron Man appeared together with X-Men, Wolverine, etc.

We all have our favorite comic book heroes – heroes who fascinate us with their supernatural powers, delight us with their fancy fighting skills and inspire us with their bravery. But if you were to honestly assess which character leaves you with a lasting impression at the end of every story, you would be forced to acknowledge that it is the fearless villain! 10. Dr. Octopus

An experiment that goes horribly wrong leaves Dr. Otto Octavius, with four mechanical arms fused to his body creating Dr. Octopus. 7. Bane

A highly complex character, Bane is one of the more intelligent adversaries of Batman. 6. Venom

Venom is an alien that has a liquid-like form and cannot survive without a host, usually a human. Its first host on Earth was Spiderman before its evil intents became known. When Venom bonded with Eddie Brock to create the supervillain Venom, it also became one of Spiderman’s archenemies. Today, Venom is one of the most popular foes of Spiderman.
